The predator in her pocket

The predator in her pocket

When we were children, the predators would hang out close to schools or parks in order to find their victims. If our parents saw someone suspicious, they could pick us up and take us home to safety.

Today the predators don’t need to even be in the vicinity of your child in order to stalk and harm her or him. The predator reaches their victims on any internet-enabled device that your child can access.

The device in her hand or his pocket is where the predators hang out today. They are very good at grooming their victims through digital means in order to lure them into a vulnerable position. Is your child safe?

Do you know exactly what your child is doing online and who they are communicating with?

Allowing our children unsupervised access to the internet is extremely dangerous. We need tight parental controls on all the devices they access. We also need to teach our children to tell us if anyone communicating with them makes them feel uncomfortable or asks them to keep their friendship secret.
